Watercolor: Tarweed or Common Madia Flowers - 7" x 10"

In the Fall, the brown fields on our property are alive with a tarweed, specifically Common Madia (Madia elegans densifolia) in the Tarweed Tribe of the Sunflowers. In the mornings they're open. By the time the heat arrives, the flowers have wisely closed up, but when the cool of the morning returns you can see their happy faces once again. 231110. Watercolor, 7" x 10".
