| The old streets and quaint shops of Lincoln, England, are charming. This painting includes my wife Jean and her sister Connie shopping in the Bailgate area of Lincoln during a trip to England in July 2009. For this painting, I began with a pen-and-ink sketch and then used watercolor to finish. This won the "Painting of the Month" for October 2017 at WASH, the watercolor club at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. Watercolor and ink, 14.5" x 14.5". |
