I was fascinated by the face of this veteran Kenya pastor worshipping at one of the conferences I taught at. My challenge in this painting was to light his face from the front, rather than from the side, as in the photo I was working from. I completed this painting at a two-day workshop by Myrna Wacknov at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. Watercolor, 10.5" x 14.5".
