| My parents used to camp in the camper at Joshua Tree National Park. Perhaps this Joshua Tree (Yucca brevifolia) can represent all of its brothers scattered over the arid landscape of the Mohave Desert in Southern California, Arizona, etc.. I masked all the spines using the edge of a palette knife before beginning. 191112. Watercolor, 10" x 14". |
