In early October 2023, we went with our granddaughters to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland. Lots of fun, lots of pumpkins. But I was particularly intrigued by a fallen Silver Maple leaf (Acer saccharinum), just starting to turn into its autumn brilliance. I tried to reproduce this edging into fall feeling in this interpretation. Silver maple is native to the Eastern US and Canada. 231018. Watercolor and ink on hot press paper, 10" x 10".
