In early October 2023, we went with our granddaughters to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland. Lots of fun, lots of pumpkins. But I was particularly intrigued by a fallen Silver Maple leaf (Acer saccharinum), just starting to turn into its autumn brilliance.
